PROM/SE: Promoting Rigorous Outcomes in Mathematics and Science Education
Teachers & Associates

Teachers & Associates:

The Role of PROM/SE Associates

First and foremost, a Mathematics and Science Associate represents the PROM/SE partnership in each school building. Associates can share the vision of the partnership with their school colleagues and community, and voice the needs and ideas of their particular schools to the partnership. Associates help colleagues understand the data available through PROM/SE and what they reveal about student strengths and weaknesses, curricular materials, instructional strategies and professional development opportunities.

Associates work with principals and other administrators to secure support for PROM/SE activities, and advocate for ways to use PROM/SE to meet building and district goals, encouraging colleagues to see PROM/SE not as "another thing to do" but as a powerful way to get things done. In all of these ways, PROM/SE Associates help schools and districts build and become part of an exciting, extended learning community dedicated to improving mathematics and science achievement for all students.
